Tree Plantation

Tree Plantation Project

Did you know that more than 10 million hectares of trees are cut down every year to accommodate the growing population? Deforestation and forest degradation have weakened the natural ecosystems and endangered nationally treasured species across the globe.

These trees play a significant role in defending a region against the repercussions of global warming. However, countries like Bangladesh and Pakistan face a forestation deficit – implying imminent dangers such as heavy flooding and water pollution. Moreover, each tree loss leads to deplorable circumstances for the general population and the economy.

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said,

“There is none amongst the Muslims who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, but is regarded as a charitable gift for him.”

Sahih al-Bukhari 2320

Fewer Trees Means More Global Warming

Bangladesh has countless species of globally threatened flora and fauna and with the current deforestation rate, this biodiversity is at a high risk of damage. Further uphill, the deforestation rates in Pakistan also need regulation. While these are advised to maintain a 25 per cent rate of forest lands, the current stats are a red flag.

Simple Reason has made it a mission to plant as many trees in these countries to fight climate change. Each tree planted in these countries will help provide clean air and prevent droughts and floods.
